Lady AutumnStar's Reiki Energy Healer's Code of Ethics
1. I will abide by a vow of confidentiality. Any information that is discussed within the context of a healing session, attunement session or reading is confidential between the client and the practitioner unless required by law to disclose.
2. I wil provide a safe and comfortable environment/atmosphere for any healing session, attunement session or class, and provide an empowering and supportive environment for clients and students.
3. I will always treat clients and students with the utmost respect and honor.
4. I will have a pure and clear intention to offer my services for the highest healing good of the client and highest potential of the student.
5. I will provide a brief oral or written description of what happens during a healing session, an attunement session or a reading, and what client can expect before their initial session with me. I will provide a clear written description of the Reiki attunement process prior to the course and disclose what the student will be able to do after taking the course(with regard to the Reiki attunement course).
6. I will be respectful of all others' Reiki views and paths.
7. I will educate clients and students on the value of Reiki and explain that sessions do not guarantee a cure, nor are they a substitute for qualified medical or professional care. Reiki is one part of an integrative healing or wellness program for humans and animals. Intuitive Readings are meant for entertainment purposes only; they are not written in stone, nor should you use them to determine how you will live your life.
8. I will suggest a consultation or referral to qualified licensed professinals(medical doctor, licensed therapist, etc) when appropriate.
9. I will never diagnose or prescribe. I will never suggest that the client change prescribed treatment or interfere with the treatment of a licensed health care provider.
10. I will be sensitive to the boundary needs of individual clients and students as well as my own boundaries.
11. I will never ask clients to do ANYTHING that they are uncomfortable with or which in any way violates the privacy or integrity of the client.
12. I will work to create harmony and friendly cooperation between Reiki Practitioners in my community and represent the Reiki Path in a most professional manner.
13. I will act as a beacon in my community by doing the best job possible.
14. I will work to empower my clients and students with regards to their own healing paths.
15. I will actively work on my own healing so as to embody and fully express the essense of Reiki in everything that I do.
